Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Virginia's Suffolk area is seeking an Area Manager to lead a warehouse team of 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates. This full-time early-career role focuses on mentoring, safety, quality, and performance on the floor.

You will walk the floor, drive results across safety and productivity, and partner with support teams to remove roadblocks. Shifts can include nights, weekends, and holidays; relocation not required; strong communication and customer service are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to regularly work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages using pallet jacks and PIT equipment.
• Lead on the floor to drive safety, quality and productivity.
