Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Virginia Beach to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced fulfillment setting. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while mentoring staff and ensuring smooth shift handoffs.

This full-time, on-site role offers training and development to become an exceptional people leader within Amazon's Operations network. You will engage, motivate, and manage your team to meet goals, with relocation support and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in progress or completed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain/Business/Management.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Shift patterns include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries and sort packages using pallet jacks.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and climb stairs as applicable.
• Hand off priorities and next steps at shift end.
