Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Kentucky to lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, attendance and on-time customer deliveries across our fulfillment network. You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business goals, mentor staff, and support a shift-based workforce in a dynamic, noisy, and temperature-variable environment.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 2+ years of people leadership or Amazon experience, are preferred;

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environment with variable temperatures and weather; outside loading departments.
