Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Indiana. You will lead a team of hourly associates, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and ensure on-time customer deliveries.

The role collaborates with Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet business objectives and may involve outdoor/loading environments. Qualifications include 2+ years in employee and performance management, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in environments with varying noise, temperatures, and weather
• Continuously climb and descend stairs when applicable
