Amazon is hiring Area Managers for KY, VA facilities. This full-time, on-site role leads a team of hourly associates, with extensive training and development provided to become a strong people leader.

Expect shifts up to 12 hours, including nights and weekends, with safety and performance as top priorities. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree completed by Aug 2026, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Regularly work night, weekend, and/or holiday shifts based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages, and operate pallet jacks.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and climb stairs as applicable.
