Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts. You will lead field and support teams to deliver high-quality service, maintain client relationships, and drive profitable operations.

Responsibilities include financial oversight, estimating, staffing, and cultivating growth opportunities while ensuring safety and excellent client service across multiple accounts.

Qualifications

• Three years of customer service and team or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to build teams and relationships.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in last three years.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance operations and equipment is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operational and financial performance of a portfolio of landscape maintenance accounts, including revenue growth and profitability.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and lead high-performing teams delivering operational excellence.
• Analyze financial and operational performance (P&L, job costing, forecasting) to improve profitability.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets or accounts.
• Propose landscape enhancement opportunities to drive additional revenue.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and contracts for maintenance and enhancements.
• Develop and execute landscape management plans tailored to sites and client expectations.
• Manage production schedules and oversee crew performance to meet budgets and timelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Ensure equipment and assets are properly maintained per safety standards.
