Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Area Manager for landscape maintenance, responsible for the operational and financial performance of a portfolio of accounts. Lead field and support teams, ensure high-quality service, and drive growth through client relations and proactive service delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, profitability, and scalable operations while developing staff, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand services.

Qualifications

• At least three years in customer service and team or project management.
• Bachelor's degree in agribusiness, horticulture, business management, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial and operational management including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and job costing.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with customers.
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record in last 3 years.
• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance operations, horticulture, irrigation, and equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage financial and operational performance of a portfolio of landscape maintenance accounts, targeting revenue growth and profitability.
• Recruit, coach, and lead field and support teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Analyze P&L, job costing, labor efficiency, and forecasting to drive profitability.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets or accounts.
• Develop and execute landscape management plans tailored to sites and client expectations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Ensure equipment and assets are properly maintained and operated safely.
