Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts. You will lead field teams, manage revenue growth, profitability, and client relations while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to develop and execute maintenance plans that meet client expectations and sustainability goals. A valid driver’s license and gardening operations knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in customer service and team or project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial and operational management principles (P&L, budgeting, forecasting, job costing).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in past three years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational and financial performance of landscape maintenance accounts, targeting revenue growth and gross profit margins.
• Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing field teams and support staff.
• Analyze P&L, job costing, labor efficiency, and forecasting to improve profitability.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and landscape enhancements.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, and contracts for maintenance and enhancements.
• Develop landscape management plans aligned with site conditions and sustainability goals.
• Manage production schedules, ensure alignment with labor budgets and timelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Ensure equipment and assets are properly maintained and safe.
