Job summary

Amazon Area Manager Intern in West Jordan, UT, offers a 10-week summer program within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers. You will coach and mentor hourly associates, develop a project with site leadership, and gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Based at a fulfillment site, you’ll lead shifts, drive safety, quality and productivity, and collaborate across teams to deliver results during a dynamic internship in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.
• Degree completion expected between December 2027 and August 2028.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 associates.
• Drive standard work and an intern project.
• Work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Regularly work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries and sort packages using pallet jacks.
• Operate PIT equipment where applicable.
• Walk the floor to spot issues and keep operations running.
• Close strong: hand off and review performance data.
