Job summary

Amazon invites you to join a ten-week Area Manager Intern program in one of its fulfillment centers or operations buildings. You will coach and mentor a team of 50-100 associates, drive an intern project, and learn to lead with accountability.

Start date is summer 2027 for 10 weeks; extensive training supports your development into people leadership. This internship emphasizes hands-on leadership in fast-paced, on-site environments with shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with all requirements anticipated to be completed between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
