Job summary

Amazon is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern program in California, on-site at fulfillment centers and other operations facilities. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of 50–100 associates, lead daily huddles, and manage shifts including nights and weekends.

Training and leadership development are provided through extensive on-the-floor coaching. Eligibility requires current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program with completion expected between December 2027 and August 2028.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication and customer service are preferred for this internship.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach and develop a team of 50–100 associates.
• Drive standard work and an internship project to improve processes.
• Walk the floor, monitor safety, quality and productivity in real time.
• Handle shifts up to 12 hours and work a 4-day week pattern.
• Oversee arrivals, palletize packages, and operate PIT equipment where applicable.
• Provide clear handoffs and close out shifts with actionable follow-ups.
