Job summary

Amazon is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern program for Summer 2027 in one of our fulfillment centers, sort centers or delivery stations. You will learn to coach and lead a team of hourly associates and work on a summer project with site leadership.

The program emphasizes hands-on leadership development in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Participants receive extensive training, with opportunities to grow in Operations and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Basic requirements: enrolled in a bachelor’s degree with completion between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• Strong communication skills and customer service are essential.
• Preferred: studying Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Shift patterns may include nights, weekends, and holidays with a 4-day work week.
• Oversee deliveries, handle and sort packages, operate PIT equipment as applicable.
• Develop internship project under site leadership guidance.
