Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Area Manager Intern for a 10-week summer program at one of our operations facilities in Tennessee. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of Amazon associates in a busy warehouse, manage an intern project, and grow as a people leader through structured on-site training.

This internship requires enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program with completion expected between December 2027 and August 2028.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently in an autonomous warehouse environment.
• Stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Support shift patterns including nights, weekends and holidays; most sites run a 4-day workweek.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, operate PIT equipment where applicable.
• Work in a dynamic, noisy, fast-paced facility environment.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
