Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Intern for a ten-week summer program located in one of its Texas fulfillment or operations facilities. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of 50-100 associates, drive standard work and an intern project, and operate in an autonomous, fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with coursework in Supply Chain, Business/Management, or Engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
