Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking an Area Manager I to oversee a zone within our Distribution Center in Rhode Island. The role builds a high-performing team, directs workflows, and partners with DC leadership to drive efficiency and cost optimization.

Candidates should have 6+ years of leadership in large DC operations, a supply chain or logistics degree, and strong data skills. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred; cross-training across DC functions is expected.

Qualifications

• 6 or more years of leadership experience in large DC operations or related field.
• Experience leading teams to meet productivity and safety standards.
• Experience with data to influence business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with team hiring and discipline.
• Coach teams to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.
• Develop schedules and oversee work assignments for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a safety culture.
• Collaborate with DC leadership to standardize shift practices and improve OKRs.
• Validate DC operations against reports and data.
• Work across DC functions as needed.
