Job summary

A First Name Basis Home Care is seeking an Area Manager to lead a branch in Columbia, SC. You will drive census growth, oversee client care delivery, and build a scalable caregiver workforce while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality.

The role requires strong leadership and a proven track record in home care operations. You will manage day-to-day operations, recruit and develop staff, and ensure service readiness.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in healthcare operations, home care leadership, or branch management.
• Proven track record of growing census and scaling service delivery.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (Healthcare Admin, Social Work, Business, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Drive client census growth by building referral relationships and ensuring service readiness.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of caregivers.
• Hire, coach, and develop Care Managers and branch staff.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and daily field coordination.
• Monitor KPIs and resolve bottlenecks to protect service quality.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA, and state/federal rules.
• Build partnerships with referral sources and represent the branch in networks.
