Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Warren, OH to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance outcomes. You will engage team members during shifts to meet customer delivery promises and continuously improve operations across first/middle/last mile workflows.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, collaborating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR, and accommodating a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable noise and temperatures, including outside loading areas.
• Move across multiple floors via stairs where applicable.
