Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Columbus, OH, to lead a team of hourly staff and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will partner with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, HR, and Quality teams to meet business goals and maintain on-time customer deliveries.

Responsibilities include coaching the team, managing metrics, and supporting operational excellence across the three mile components and shifting demands. Required flexibility for weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with varying noise and temperatures, including outside loading areas.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
