Job summary

Amazon Jobs in New Jersey is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees across shifts, driving safety, quality, attendance and performance to meet customer expectations. You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to develop plans, mentor the staff, and ensure on-time delivery.

Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand for long periods, and work flexible schedules including weekends or nights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where noise levels vary and can be loud.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather.
