Job summary

Amazon.org Area Manager role in California is a full-time, on-site leadership position within an Amazon fulfillment network. You will engage, lead, and develop a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced environment, with focus on safety, quality, attendance and performance.

Extensive training will prepare you to supervise operations across shift cycles, while maintaining a strong emphasis on leadership accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills expected.
• Enrolled in related Bachelor's program may be considered for a related pathway.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays; 4-day work week pattern at many sites.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, operate PIT equipment as applicable.
