Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in an on-site distribution or fulfillment environment. You will engage, lead, and develop a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while coordinating with support teams to remove roadblocks.

You will mentor staff, manage shift work including nights and weekends, and use data to drive continuous improvement across the operation. A bachelor’s degree is required or in progress, with strong communication and customer

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Oversee truck deliveries and sort packages.
• Lead a team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Walk the floor to stay connected with the team and resolve issues.
• Wrap up shifts with clear handoffs and performance review.
