Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation is seeking an Area Lead Instrumentation Superintendent to ensure safe, efficient execution of direct-hire instrumentation on a major New Albany project. You will translate the schedule into actionable field plans, manage look-ahead and 90-day plans, and align labor, materials, and access with planned work.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership for direct-hire instrumentation construction within the assigned area.
• Develop and drive 3-week look-ahead schedule; ensure proper sequencing and constraint-free work.
• Develop and manage a 90-day execution plan identifying upcoming work fronts, materials, equipment, access, staffing, and risks.
• Manage craft manpower curves and adjust staffing as priorities change.
• Directly manage craft execution and lead Instrumentation Superintendents and foremen.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Startup/Commissioning, and subcontractors to resolve constraints.
• Monitor planned vs actual quantities, installed production, hours, and productivity; implement recovery actions.
• Maintain backlog readiness for craft; anticipate constraints before they impact field execution.
• Coordinate instrumentation installation activities including field instruments, cabling, termination, panels, testing, and turnover.
