Job summary

Trane Technologies in Northern California is seeking an Area Service Leader to guide a regional service team and deliver on budgeted targets. You will drive safety programs, hiring, training, and field performance while interfacing with key customers on high-visibility projects.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC or related fields and 3+ years leading large teams, with strong P&L acumen and project-management skills. A valid driver's license is required; travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in HVAC or a related field, technical systems (or equipment or skilled trades).
• 3+ years’ experience managing and coaching large teams and organizing work schedules.
• Project management skills to oversee and drive successful project execution for startups and customer requests.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills; Deep knowledge of P&L and annual operating plans.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in Microsoft applications. Salesforce experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategic outlook—grow the business to meet targets (revenue, workforce forecasting, development of talent).
• P&L responsibility, provide monthly revenue forecasting, help drive service agreement base growth and turnkey growth by partnering with sales.
• Manage customer interfaces on large projects and growing service business.
• Control budget and overhead expenses for area, including fleet, uniforms, tools, and safety equipment.
• Mitigate risk in service agreements, service turnkey and repairs work.
• Oversee service coordination to respond to customers and ensure technician training and skill balance.
• Attract, coach, and develop service employees; drive continuous improvement through performance management and training programs.
• Collaborate with ASM team to meet margin expectations during sales and fulfillment; ensure standard work processes.
