Job summary

Republic Services in Berwyn, PA is seeking an Area Director of Business Development to shape market strategy and oversee integrated plans. The role drives growth through acquisitions, divestitures, privatizations, and organic development, working with Market, Area, and Corporate teams to win in the marketplace.

You will lead due diligence, negotiate transactions, and guide complex projects from concept to execution, including private real estate and landfill-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy, project, infrastructure and/or real estate development.
• Minimum of 5 years of general business experience, preferably in a capital intensive industry.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare financial reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to gain respect from internal and external customers while maintaining objectivity.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develops and drives market strategies to improve financial performance.
• Responsible for financial and capital investment analysis of business development transactions, including due diligence and negotiations.
• Leads project development for new solid waste infrastructure and oversees real estate transactions.
