Job summary

Cedar Point in Ohio is seeking an Area Manager - Food and Beverage to lead daily operations, supervise restaurant staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across multiple locations.

You will set training agendas, manage purchasing, budgeting, inventory and labor costs, and collaborate with other departments to support park-wide initiatives. A background in F&B management and ServSafe certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2–4 years in food and beverage management; 4 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• ServSafe Food Manager certifications and ServSafe Alcohol certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, develop restaurant supervisors and hourly associates through orientations, ongoing feedback and reviews.
• Ensure associates are certified in Serv Safe Alcohol for responsible service.
• Oversee operations within F&B locations per Cedar Point standards and budgets.
• Manage F&B locations, P&L to optimize profit, control COGS, labor and other expenditures.
• Develop and achieve the restaurants’ business plan with the Director of Food & Beverage.
• Pass and address inspections/audits by Ohio Dept of Health and others.
• Handle ordering and inventory to produce and serve quality products.
• Ensure high guest service levels across units with monthly training.
• Initiate corrective actions and maintain accurate reporting.
