Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience. You will set expectations for consultative service, operational execution, team performance, and business results while staying hands-on in each location.

You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, own office readiness, staffing, facilities, and compliance, travel between offices, and lead with accountability to drive growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit environments with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership capable of coaching and accountability.
• Drive business/financial results while managing day-to-day ops across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Independent judgment and prioritization across multiple locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds for office readiness.
• Willingness to travel frequently domestically between offices.
• Schedule flexibility to align with operating hours, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on behaviors, performance, and real-time feedback.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement action to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
