Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an Area Director to execute our field strategy across multiple sites in Birmingham, AL. You will ensure full staffing, compliance with state licensing, and strong school partnerships to support a high-quality program for school-age children.

The role requires hands-on leadership, organization, and the ability to coordinate staffing, enrollment, and site operations daily while meeting program goals and deadlines.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of experience in program leadership, site management, or a related field.
• Background in childcare, youth development, K–12 education, or similar environment is preferred.
• Experience managing and controlling staff schedules and daily operational coverage across multiple locations.
• Comfort working directly with school administrators and building staff.
• Familiarity with state childcare licensing requirements is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Mansioni

• Staffing: recruit, hire, onboard, and lead site staff; build proactive schedules.
• Payroll & scheduling: manage timecards; ensure hours reflect actual time worked.
• Enrollment & program quality: monitor enrollment; coach staff; ensure program quality.
• State licensing: maintain active licensing; ensure records and staff certifications are current.
• Build partnerships with principals and school staff; resolve issues quickly at building level.
