Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking an Area Manager to oversee project management and operations in the designated Ohio region. You will handle P/L responsibilities for construction and paving activities, align with divisional goals, and maintain strong relationships with customers and community partners.

Responsibilities include supervising field teams, managing costs and schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 4–6 years paving experience.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• CESSWI license for erosion and sediment inspection is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction costing in line with safety procedures and business plan.
• Review work plans with area Forepersons to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain operational scheduling for area jobs and plants.
• Coordinate plant production for internal and external sales.
• Review financial reports – weekly job costs, monthly CTC and others.
• Negotiate extra work, changed conditions, and claims on area projects.
