Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a safety-minded Project Manager to lead construction projects in Ohio from start to finish, coordinating with estimators and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding quality and safety standards.

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience, plus proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; willingness to travel, nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Verify cost estimates and work with Estimators to complete project handoff.
• Issue, execute and manage subcontracts as required with Contract Admins.
• Frequent project visits to maintain pulse of a project and attend project related meetings
• Maintain and manage accurate construction and paving schedules for projects managed.
• Articulate process of analyzing, tracking, and collecting project revenue on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Ability to actively manage and communicate understanding of job cost performance.
• Working relationship with HMA Lab for requests regarding mix specifications and required documents for DOT and private projects and submitting them to project Owners.
• Perform post-build analysis of projects identifying key performance drivers and how they relate to the overall performance of the project.
• Drive efficiency and value changes in the field through recognition of project construction opportunities.
• Promote Safety and take active role in addressing concerns and advancing Safety on projects
• Performs other job related responsibilities and special projects as requested.
