Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking an Area Manager in Ohio to oversee construction and paving projects within the designated area, ensuring safety, profitability, and quality. You will report to divisional operations and manage area personnel and relationships with customers.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, contract review, supplier relations, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies. Travel and occasional nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; four to six years related experience in paving production and laydown.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of paver setup, ODOT specs, drainage specs, GPS/LPS machine control.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise area construction and paving activities.
• Review work plans with Forepersons to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
• Maintain area scheduling and plant production; manage budgets and costs.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to promote good public relations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, ethics policies, and company procedures.
