Job summary

The Shelly Company is seeking an Area Manager to oversee construction and paving operations within the assigned Kentucky region. This role carries P/L responsibility and requires close collaboration with Divisional Operations to meet profitability goals and quality standards.

You will supervise personnel, ensure safety and compliance, manage budgets and scheduling, and nurture customer and community relationships to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school.
• Four to six years related experience in paving production and laydown.
• Knowledge of paver setup and ODOT specs 448-449-446-447.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise area construction and paving operations including safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Review work plans with forepersons to ensure safety and performance.
• Maintain scheduling for area jobs and plants and coordinate production for internal/external sales.
• Review financial reports, weekly job costs, and other cost controls.
• Manage customer relations and public relations in the community.
