NC State University seeks a County Extension Educator to lead field crop production programs in Granville and Person Counties. You will develop, implement, evaluate, and market educational offerings, promote profitable, sustainable practices, and adopt proven technologies and financial methods.
The role includes pesticide licensing training and strong collaboration with partner agencies. Travel within the district is required, with occasional trips beyond.
The agent will lead educational programs in field crop production for Granville and Person Counties, focusing on profitability and sustainability. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, evaluating and marketing educational programs, adopting proven technology, business, and financial practices, and conducting applied research development in the program area.
Additional duties include serving as county pesticide coordinator, providing licensing training, and collaborating with other agencies, groups, and organizations to effectively reach audiences throughout the counties.
Valid NC Driver's License required. Commercial Driver's License not required.
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with nights and weekends as required.
