Job summary

Richelieu Hardware, a North American leader in specialty hardware, seeks a Specification Representative to build the Richelieu Brand and garner specifications with architects and designers in New York.

You will train the A&D community, maintain documentation, coordinate with inside sales, and promote high-end products while fostering a high-performance culture.

This is a hands-on role that requires strategic thinking, relationship building, and the ability to translate strategy into action.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent field experience.
• 1–2 years in a specification role preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude with hands-on approach.
• Ability to translate strategy into action.

Responsibilities

• Develop solid relationships with architects and designers.
• Position the Company and products with A&D firms to achieve specifications and sales.
• Provide educational training on products to A&D community through presentations.
• Maintain documentation, database and call reports.
• Respond to inquiries for specifications and manage specs through project life cycle.
• Coordinate with inside sales for product sales support.
• Promote the Richelieu Brand across design and specification channels.
• Highlight high-end products to differentiate designs.
