Job summary

NVR, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Specialist – Mechanical Systems to join the Architectural Project Team in Frederick, MD.

You will develop HVAC designs, load calculations, and BIM-enabled documentation using AutoCAD, collaborating with design, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure code compliance and on-time project delivery. The role requires 6+ years in HVAC or related fields, proficiency in AutoCAD and Wrightsoft, and experience with Manual J/S/D calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related field.
• 6+ years of experience in HVAC, engineering, or construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Wrightsoft.
• Experience with HVAC system design and load calculations (Manual J, S, and D).
• Preferred experience in residential or production homebuilding.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in planning and organizing activities with demonstrated follow-up and control skills.
• Preferred experience in leading, mentoring, and coaching junior team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of materials required for residential construction.

You will also support homebuilding personnel with permitting and inspection challenges, ensuring seamless project execution.

Role Overview:
