Job summary

Ryan Homes, an NVR brand, is seeking a Financial Cost Manager to provide financial and operational expertise to the homebuilding division. You will partner with the Division Manager to establish, control and analyze construction costs and divisional profitability, ensuring each home stays within budget.

Working with the Production Manager and team, you will manage a comprehensive cost control system, drive process improvements, and help scale regional or corporate financial analysis

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, costing, planning or economic analysis with attention to detail.
• Able to convert financial analysis into actionable operational recommendations and drive improvements.
• Skilled in budgeting and negotiating.
• Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance required.
• Relevant costing and analysis experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division Manager in analyzing and controlling construction costs and maximizing profits for all homes in the Division.
• Manage a cost control system that measures costs, variances, and projections of operating results.
• Collaborate with divisional, regional and corporate peers to drive cost, profitability, processes, and systems improvements and ensure consistent costing methods.
• Initiate agreements and negotiations with subcontractors to maximize value, quality and delivery for NVR and buyers.
• Update and maintain sales pricing and cost information for all active and future communities.
• Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the Division plan.
• Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods.

AAs the Financial Cost Manager for Ryan Homes, an NVR brand, you will provide the homebuilding division with financial and operational expertise. You will directly support the Division Manager in establishing, controlling and analyzing homebuilding construction costs and divisional profitability. Working with the Production Manager and their team, you are responsible for managing a comprehensive cost control system to ensure that each home is built within budget and recommend process improvements. Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Division Manager in analyzing and controlling construction costs and maximizing profits for all homes within the Division
• Manage a cost control system that effectively and accurately measures costs and production variances and allows for accurate projections of operating results
• Work with divisional, regional and corporate peers to drive continuous improvement of costs, profitability, processes, and systems, and ensure consistency of costing methods across the company
• Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors that will maximize value, quality and delivery to NVR and the home buyer
• Update and maintain salespricing and cost information for all active and future communities
• Project costs for new home designs and product offerings as part of the overall Division business plan
• Review plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methods

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience of comparable financial analysis, costing, planning, or economic analysis with demonstrated attention to detail
• Able to convert financial analysis into meaningful operational recommendations and drive action and process improvement
• Skilled in budgeting and negotiating
• Exceptional problem analysis and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced levelis essential
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance required
• Relevant costing and analysis experience is desired
