Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team invites you to join as an Architectural Designer. You will work under a Senior Designer or Architect, with licensure not mandatory but encouraged as a short-term objective. You’ll contribute to design development, documentation, and coordination across disciplines.

Must have 2–3 years of relevant experience and a degree in Architecture. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required; LEED credentials are a plus. NYC/CA/NJ locations offer pay ranges and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Project Manager or Project Architect updated on progress, expectations, deadlines, and deliverables within your responsibilities.
• Assist in monitoring and coordinating internal team and external consultant work and deadlines.
• Support project teams in developing designs through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
• Develop design concepts, renderings, and presentation drawings.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create two- and three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
• Prepare and revise documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
• Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure they align with the design intent.
• Assist with contract administration tasks.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Implement sustainable design principles into building designs and the surrounding environment.
• Conduct site analysis and research concepts, benchmarks, typologies, and precedents.
