Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Director of Engineering for the AI Control Tower (AICT) to ship a 1.0 product and drive durable adoption. You will lead one or more product areas, report to the VP of Engineering, and shape architecture, PRDs, and delivery velocity in a fast-growing company.

You are AI-native, using AI daily to guide development, testing, and operations. The role emphasizes building from scratch in a small team and scaling to enterprise-grade impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years leading engineering teams (manager of managers or senior manager).
• Hands-on startup experience at a small company with <100 employees, building and shipping products.
• Proven record driving adoption of a 1.0 or early-stage product.
• Strong cloud-native SaaS background with multi-tenant architectures and API design.
• Deep foundation in data modeling and modern data platforms for AI workloads.
• AI-native engineering across the full lifecycle from product to ops.
• Ability to operate at architectural and PR levels when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering roadmap for AICT product areas and translate requirements into plans.
• Drive adoption from 1.0 to meaningful customer usage and feedback loops.
• Lead AI-native engineering practices across development, testing, and deployment.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and partner teams to align work.
