Job summary
ServiceNow in Santa Clara is seeking a Principal Engineer for the AI Control Tower. You’ll own architectural design for core AICT platform components, translating complex product requirements into scalable, observable plans, and setting governance standards for enterprise AI at scale.
You will lead 1.0 adoption from early release, mentor engineers, work with product and design, and contribute to long-term platform strategy while remaining hands-on when it matters.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering with SaaS success.
- Deep cloud-native SaaS architecture: multi-tenant, API design, and observability.
- Experience with distributed systems and scalable data models.
- Hands-on in architecture decisions and driving cross-team initiatives.
- AI-native engineering practices across full lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and implementation of AICT platform components.
- Translate product requirements into scalable technical plans with recovery patterns.
- Drive adoption from 0.x releases to meaningful customer use.
- Set governance standards for enterprise AI governance infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers and represent AICT in senior leadership reviews.
