Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltd is seeking an Architecture & Design Specification Representative in the Missouri area. You will gather specifications from architects and designers, expanding market awareness and coordinating projects with local sales teams.

You will build strong relationships, schedule meetings, and educate clients on Richelieu solutions across hardware, lighting, panels, and surfaces while staying current on product offerings and market conditions. Travel is required.

Qualifications

Experience as a Specification Representative or Designer (recent grads with design degree considered).
Ability to schedule and manage own time, delivering results.
Proactive, high energy, coachable, strong work ethic.
Developed design, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in CRM software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

Continuously develop and nurture relationships with architects and designers.
Schedule and hold face-to-face and virtual meetings with clients to learn about projects.
Gather and secure specifications across product categories (decorative hardware, lighting, panels, etc.).
Analyze past specification patterns to expand supplier relationships.
Provide educational training on products and industry developments to the A&D community.
Deliver a state-of-the-art customer service experience as a one-stop shop.
Stay up-to-date with Richelieu product offerings and market conditions.
Utilize CRM and sales support systems effectively.
Travel to client sites three to four days per week; own transportation required.
Position may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
