Job summary

Gensler in Nashville seeks an experienced Architect to translate sketches into 2D/3D models and lead design through construction documentation. You will drive projects with Revit skills, collaborating with teams and researching design/technical issues across phases.

You will oversee drawings, specs, and admin tasks, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the project’s financial performance and office initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with 8+ years of architecture experience.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, Enscape, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards and lifecycle from design to construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills.
• Ability to mentor teams and manage concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage communications between project team, client, vendors, contractors and consultants.
• Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to deliver constructible solutions.
• Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks.
• Oversee documents with design intent and high technical quality.
• Lead teams to successful project delivery and manage client expectations.
• Maintain project manuals and specifications.
• Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews.
• Interface with permitting officials during zoning and construction phases.
• Contribute to proposals, contracts and project financials.
• Ensure projects conform to contract terms and design intent.
• Participate in office initiatives and maintain productive client relationships.
