Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Project Architect in Chicago to translate sketches into 2D/3D models and coordinate documentation for construction. You will mentor teams and collaborate with Practice Area Leaders to deliver design solutions for retail, hospitality, and education projects.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Architecture, licensure, and 10+ years of experience in commercial design; proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
• Licensure required.
• 10+ years of experience with commercial architectural design.
• Experience with Higher Education projects preferred.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Strong Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design projects across retail and hospitality practices.
• Coordinate design through construction documentation with consultants.
• Mentor team members and manage client expectations.
• Produce and review technical documents for construction.
• Participate in construction administration and submittal reviews.
• Contribute to office activities and learning programs.
