Job summary

Gensler Kansas City is seeking an Architect to join our design team. You will translate sketches into 2D/3D models, coordinate documentation, and drive projects from concept through build with Revit at the core.

Lead production of drawings and specifications, mentor teammates, and ensure design intent and technical quality across a growing portfolio of projects through effective collaboration. This in-person role located in Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications

Registered Architect with licensure required.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
6+ years of related experience.
Proficient in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software.
Full knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, standards, and structures.
Experience with project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy.
Ability to manage concurrent projects and mentor teams.
Strategic thinker with integrated design, management, and technical resolution.

Responsibilities

Manage communication between the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative solutions.
Direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks.
Responsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality.
Mentor team and provide guidance on technical/design issues.
Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications.
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews.
Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases.
