Job summary

Esri's Professional Services team seeks a Senior System Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize mission-critical geospatial systems. You will work with national-security focused organizations to modernize ArcGIS environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.

You will architect deployments, advise on performance and security, and guide customers in leveraging location intelligence to support core missions.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in a similar role with relevant responsibilities.
Experience designing, implementing or administering enterprise ArcGIS or comparable IT systems.
Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
Scripting or programming knowledge in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or C#.
Networking concepts, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing familiarity.
Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
US citizenship with Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS or STEM.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure ArcGIS across varied environments to meet SLAs.
Plan and migrate content between ArcGIS deployments with different architectures.
Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments focusing on storage, networking, and security.
Collaborate with customers to design and certify GIS workflows for ArcGIS.
Coordinate with internal teams to align objectives with Esri's technology platform.
