Job summary
Esri is seeking a Senior System Engineer to design and deliver enterprise ArcGIS deployments for Defense and Intelligence operations. You will architect secure, scalable geospatial systems across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, guiding deployment strategies, high-availability designs, and performance optimization.
You will lead hands-on engineering while providing technical leadership to ensure ArcGIS platforms are resilient and mission-aligned.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in a similar role
- Experience designing/administrating ArcGIS or comparable IT systems
- Windows and/or Linux administration
- Scripting or programming (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTPS, firewalls)
- Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- US citizenship with Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, GIS or STEM
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure ArcGIS across environments to meet SLA
- Migrate content between ArcGIS deployments with diverse architectures
- Troubleshoot deployments; advise on storage, networking and security
- Collaborate with customers to design and certify GIS workflows for ArcGIS
