Job summary

Esri's Professional Services team seeks a senior systems engineer to design, deploy, and optimize mission-critical geospatial systems across secure environments. You will architect and support ArcGIS deployments in cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid setups, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability for high-impact operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Experience designing, implementing and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or IT systems.
• Broad system administration on Windows and/or Linux.
• Scripting or programming knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Javascript, C#).
• Networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load-balancing).
• Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• US citizenship with Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, GIS or STEM.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure ArcGIS across diverse environments to meet SLAs.
• Plan and migrate content between ArcGIS deployments and architectures.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, advising on storage, networking, and security.
• Collaborate with customers to design and certify GIS workflows on the ArcGIS platform.
• Coordinate with Esri teams to align objectives with the Esri technology platform.
