Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary Range: $12.00 - $14.00 Hourly

We are looking for someone that loves children! The associates that work in our childcare centers are responsible for maintaining a safe and loving environment for our ARC children.

Morning help needed! Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 1:00pm shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work together with the ARC DT childcare staff to ensure cohesiveness between the two clubs.
  2. Maintain a safe environment for children and communicate with GM if safety issues arise.
  3. Be present and work all scheduled hours.
  4. Communicate with GM to help keep the childcare room fresh; including ensuring toys and furnishings are updated and in working condition.
  5. Assist with a quarterly children’s program event, including, but not limited to Parent’s Night Out.
  6. Change diapers, feed babies, get snacks, rock babies, and interact with all children.
  7. Clean the room and toys.
  8. Greet parents.
  9. Work with parents if they have special childcare needs.
  10. Be mindful of the number of children in the room and staffing ratios.
Job Qualifications

  2. Customer Service – manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
  3. Interpersonal skills – focus on conflict resolution and seek the highest degree of accountability.
  4. All candidates will be required to complete a background check.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in working with children.
  2. A degree in Early Childcare Development is recommended.
  3. Management experience recommended.

KNOWLEDGE and/or SKILLS:

  1. Strong interpersonal/problem solving skills.
  2. Strong verbal communication skills.
  3. Good organizational skills.
  4. Strong managerial abilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common business manuals, memos, and documents. Applicant should also be able to communicate effectively through typed/written memos, notes, and e-mails.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Regularly required to bend, squat, twist, and run.
  2. Regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.

  5. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and run.
