Schedule:

MOST IMPORTANT Sundays starting at 8:30am

• During the summer months (May 25 - Sept. 7) the hours are 8:30-11:30am.
• During the school year, beginning Sunday Sept. 14, hours are 8:30am-12:15pm.

Additional opportunities:

• Wednesday evenings from 5-7pm during church seasons of Advent (December) and Lent (February-March)

• Occasional additional opportunities for special events, Vacation Bible School, etc.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $19.00 to $19.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Our Childcare Providers establish an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for our children as well asdelight in building connections with children and families, witnessing their growth and development over time.

Job Responsibilities:Cares for children ages newborn to early elementary

On Sunday mornings:

• Childcare Providers are expected to work Sunday mornings beginning at 8:30. During the summer months (May 25 - Sept. 7) the hours are 8:30-11:30am. During the school year, beginning Sunday Sept. 14, hours are 8:30am-12:15pm.
• Provide safe childcare for babies, toddlers, preschool-aged and early elementary-aged children
• Provide simple and playful structure for children including but not limited to open play time, story time with provided books, etc.
• Coordinate restocking supplies with Director of FamilyMinistry
• Connect with families as they drop off/pick up children and ensure a safe and easy transition during drop off/pick up
• Oversees and maintains regular cleaning and sanitizing includingtoys, play areas, etcin accordance with Christ Presbyterian ChurchPolicy.

Other Opportunities for Additional Hours:

Qualifications:

• Age 18 or older
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Experience with childcare and family communication
• Understanding of the importance of and how to implement play-based learning
• Previous experience with anopen and affirming church childcarecontextpreferred
• Background check required
• Professional and personal references

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
