This position is 100% federally funded.

Recruitment Range: $49,158 to $65,277

The position will serve Onslow and neighboring counties. Successful applicants must reside in the service or a contiguous county. Child care specialists work remotely and must manage their work independently.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assist child care providers in achieving and maintaining compliance with licensing requirements.
2. Monitor centers and homes for compliance and investigate reports of violations, including unlicensed operations.
3. Maintain professionalism and calmness in stressful situations.
4. Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel to complete work tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
