Description of Work

Position will serve Bertie, Chowan, Martin, Washington, and contiguous counties. Successful applicants must reside in the service or a contiguous county. Child care specialists work remotely and must be able to plan and manage their work independently.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Assist child care providers to comply with licensing requirements.
  2. Monitor centers and homes for compliance and investigate violations.
  3. Maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
  4. Use computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
