Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Trainee to join a nationwide team of tree care professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you will gain hands-on experience in pruning, removal, and safety procedures on a variety of sites across the region.

Starting pay ranges from $20–$23 per hour with full-time internship status. You’ll receive safety gear, training, and opportunities for career development within a growing, employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Learn to climb trees and work as part of a tree crew.
• Learn to perform tree pruning and removal safely for clients.
• Learn to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assist in removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
